Download & Install
⚠️ Not on Google Play. The Kodak Smart Home app must be downloaded via Aptoide, a trusted third-party app store. Choose either method below — they both get you to the same place.

Scan the QR code with your Android phone, or tap the button below to open the Kodak Smart Home page on Aptoide.
Open Aptoide Page →- 1Open your phone's browser (Chrome, Samsung Internet, etc.) and scan the QR code above or visit the link.
- 2Tap the Download button on the page.
- 3If your phone prompts you to install Aptoide, accept and tap Download Aptoide App Store.
- 4Once the APK file downloads:
Open your Downloads folder.
Tap the file (usually named aptoide.apk).
If prompted, allow "Install from Unknown Sources."
- 5Open the Aptoide app once installed.
- 6Inside Aptoide, search for Kodak Smart Home (it may open automatically).
- 7Tap Download → Install and wait for it to complete.
- 8Find the Kodak Smart Home app on your home screen or app drawer — you're ready for Part 2!
Aptoide Main Site
Scan to go to the Aptoide homepage, then use the search bar inside the app.
Open Aptoide →- 1Scan the QR code above or go to en.aptoide.com in your browser.
- 2In the search bar, type Kodak Smart Home and tap Search.
- 3From the results, select the version with the green "Trusted" checkmark.
- 4Tap Download.
- 5If Aptoide itself needs installing, follow the same APK install steps as Method A above.
- 6Once installed, open Kodak Smart Home and head to Part 2.
Part 2
Connect to Your Camera
A — Initial Setup
- 1Open the Kodak Smart Home app on your phone.
- 2Create a new account or sign in with your existing Kodak credentials.
- 3On the main screen, tap Add Device or the "+" icon.
B — Power & Camera Preparation
- 1Plug your Kodak Smart Home camera into a power outlet.

2Wait for the LED to begin flashing blue — this means it's in pairing mode.
Not flashing? Press and hold the Reset button on the back or bottom for 5–10 seconds until it resets.
C — Connect to Wi-Fi
📶 Use 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. 5GHz networks may not be detected by the camera.
- 1In the app, choose Add Camera → Smart Camera (or select your specific model).
- 2Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter your password carefully.
- 3A QR code will appear on your phone screen.
- 4Hold your phone 10–20 cm (4–8 inches) in front of the camera lens so it can scan the code.

5Wait until the camera beeps or its LED turns solid/flashing green — it's successfully scanned.
- 6The app will connect automatically — this may take 1–2 minutes.
D — Final Steps
- 1Once connected, you'll see "Camera Added Successfully." 🎉
- 2Give your camera a name — e.g. Living Room Cam, Front Door, etc.
- 3Tap Finish or Save.
- 4You'll now see the live feed from your camera on the app's home screen.
E — Troubleshooting
📡 Camera not connecting?
- Make sure your phone is on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network — not 5GHz.
- Reset the camera and repeat the QR code scan step from the beginning.
📷 QR code won't scan?
- Turn up your phone's screen brightness to maximum.
- Move the phone slightly closer or farther from the lens — try different distances.
🔇 No sound or video?
- Check that the app has microphone, storage, and camera permissions in your phone's settings.
- Restart both the app and the camera.
